This program will provide an overview of the standard for Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories (OSHA) and the information necessary to work safely in the laboratory.

OSHA has developed the "Laboratory Standard" (29 CFR 1910.1450) for laboratory safety. The lab standard applies to all employees engaged in the use of hazardous chemicals in laboratories where work is done on a laboratory scale, easily and safely by one person, multiple chemicals are used with standard laboratory equipment.
