Course Description

This course is targeted for the departmental or laboratory Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO). It describes the responsibilities of the CHO and others in the lab, introduces the contents of the UIC Chemical Hygiene Plan, discusses standard operating procedures, control measures, and describes the employee training requirements.

Course Goals:
Understand the responsibilities of laboratory, departmental and other University personnel for laboratory safety.
Understand the specific duties of the CHO
Become familiar with the UIC Chemical Hygiene Plan.
Know what the training requirements are for laboratory personnel
